Theme day - what annoys you about your city?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Well, wouldn’t you be annoyed to be strolling on a well traveled pathway and have a snake emerge from the ground in front of you? I know, it’s just a rat snake (so as long as you're not a rat, you should be OK ;-), but jeez….

Welcome to the flip side of Paradise ;-)

In this case I'd be annoyed and quite frankly whimpering up a tree.
The fact that you captured this image so clearly (mine would be panic-induced-blurry), is admirable!

Rather that than some politicians.....

Pour repondre à ta question Est-Ouest à Evry, j'ai rajouter une petite maison sur la carte d'evry pour faire voir ou j'habite ;o)

To answer your East-West question with Evry, I have to add a small house on the chart of evry to show or I live ;O)

Rat or not I'd probably run the other way. If I had seen it that is. I've trained my eagle eye to watch out for scorpions and spiders, but I'm not sure how good I would be at spotting snakes.

Lucky us, we do not have any snake.
BTW. Nice photo.

Oh, my gosh! Is that a REAL snake? You are so brave! I would have died before getting close enough to take that picture! Nasty things! Yes, the flipside of paradise. I'm going to go jump in the shower now!

I've heard the expression, "Snake in the Grass", but, Isabella, really!
I wonder if you have lots of "missing" people in your area?
If you invite people to visit, do they accept?

Awww...I love snakes! In fact I spend my summers as a naturalist with a trusty kingsnake teaching local kids about how great they are.

I'll refrain from the lecture about how beneficial they are to the environment, and how most are absolutely harmless, etc...(all of my friends hear it every single time they say "ew snake!" :))

BTW, I think that little guy is adorable! With his little head poking up to see what is going on! So cute. But then again I'm biased in his favor.

Nah, I'd be thrilled I live soemwhere that wildlife still inhabit! And that it appeared right there for you to take a lovely photo ;-)

Geez, this is not so much about being annoying but rather about being scaring!

Great capture! That's not an easy shot to get, I imagine. I imagine rat snakes help rid your area of rodents. That's a good thing to have around.

I guess I had better get with the program as I didn't even know Thursday was supposed to be theme day. How do you know what's the theme for the week?
