Bosom buddies

How is that for egalitarianism? Jaguar XJSC rubs elbows...er...spokes with the bikes at the Country Club parking lot.

"Take most people, they're crazy about cars. They worry if they get a little scratch on them, and they're always talking about how many miles they get to a gallon, and if they get a brand-new car already they start thinking about trading it in for one that's even newer. I don't even like old cars. I mean they don't even interest me. I'd rather have a goddamn horse. A horse is at least human, for God's sake."

~J.D. Salinger, Catcher in the Rye

les velos sont peut-etre de la marque Jaguar ;o) Je ne suis pas d'accord avec Salinger, j'aime les vieilles voitures, elles ont une histoire, une odeur bien à elles.
Ta photo est tres bonne.

the bicycles are perhaps of the Jaguar mark; O) I do not agree with Salinger, I like the old cars, they have a history, an odor well with them. Your photograph is very good.

I am not into cars that much but I can see those "belonging" in that Country Club. Can't do too much biking in the snow.

Nice contrast of vehicles. Right now I'd prefer a bike to get around this city of Mazatlan

Good eye and commentary. And the Salinger quote is funny!

Oh, nice bike!

A horse or a bike! The bike can throw you like a horse…but you don’t have to clean up after it!

Lol, Lessie! Another thing a horse and a bike have in common - your bottom is sore either way ;-)

In this shot, honestly, what I like more is the sky. So blue and so clean it's really lovely

Nice tune. You have to tell who it is.

Your comments and quotes are always so remarkably well chosen - and often humorous, such as this one. Well done, I always enjoy my visits here!

Thankyou so much for your kind welcoming comment on my new Menton blog. Lovely to know you've visited the town in the past. Come back soon!

I love your blog - beautiful photographs and love that you include literary pieces and comments. Makes it very special and even more interesting. A wonderfully sensitive blog.

Thankyou - Jilly x

There is a guy where I live here, every once a while he comes with another very old car. Sometimes Jaguar, Chevrolet or something like that. Sometimes with huge cars, one time he had a huge pink chevrolet..I gues he is reneving them, adds some new equipment and then sells them. Looking to them is joy for me but I would not like driving one. I like the composition and the trees most in this picture and your wording, as usual...

A V12.
That's only possible in the States, with the prices of our petrol!
Well spot!

I love this chapee Isabella, loved him to bits, Holden Caulfield has been my all time favourite. No one has dethroned him till now.
'Dancing with her is like dragging the statue of liberty ???' don't remember the exact words.
I use his language most of the time ' she's a mad man sometimes'
When I say something like that people generally stare at me.
What a joy !

Are all Jaguars right hand drives ?
It stands alone.
