After the rain...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Wild orchid after a morning shower. Into each life a little rain must fall...

"Still - in a way - nobody sees a flower - really - it is so small - we haven't the time -
and to see takes time, like to have a friend takes time."

Georgia O'Keeffe

it is superb this photograph, very soft, very tender. the drops of rain are like a carress on the flower.
that points out the text of a song to me :
“After the rain,
the things will change
There is no more pain
After the rain "

Oh! So there is rain in Naples FA!!! When you were looking for me I was out getting soaked. I took a massive cloud burst crossing the "500 year long queue" (Post #5) to see young Tommy Atkins (Post #30) waving his hat, and I took another mega burst in the middle of Kew Bridge trying to prove that the French speak with forked tongue (guess I lost, big time, both ways).

Beautiful shot! Especially the raindrops, which proves that water is liquid where you are.

Nice warm weather I can't wait until spring is here and the flowers are out. Very nice photo!

You certainly caught that drip in time. Amazing photo.

Beautiful photograph - and just like a Georgia O'Keeffe painting too.

Your blog is brilliant!

I love orchids, I love the detail of the rain drop on the flower, hence, I love this photo!

PS: Love the poem too. So true.

Absolutely stunning.
Perfectly matched text. There truely are those who just have their eyes shut to the beauty around them. People who are observant of natures such gifts, are gererally more contented folks, taking joy in the small things of life.
Thanks for your comment on my blog.

Thank you all for stopping by and leaving nice comments!

Olivier - who sings that song?

Chuck - you lead such an exciting and dangerous life ;-)

Jilly and Lessie - thanks for making that "photo to O'Keeffe connection" - I am proud of that...

Wow, but isn't that a Tumbergia, or "Blue Sky Vine"? Not and orchid.
