House on 5th avenue

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

This lovely private residence on 5th ave south downtown Naples, just steps from the beach, was under 5 feet of water during the hurricane Wilma in 2005. But as you can see, the water retreated quickly, and the Paradise is not Lost...

I wonder what they had to pay and do to restore it after the hurricane? It must have been a mess. Beautiful now!

It looks fabulous. I wonder if you ever get rid of the smell of damp though?

lol, keropok man - I could not even afford the insurance rates on this house;-)
As far as the damage goes - notice the high wall/foundation, the water probably did not reach the main floor level. At least I hope, for their sake;-)

When I think of Florida, this is what it looks like -- palm trees, colorful flowers, big houses, etc. Okay, maybe I've been watching too much CSI:Miami. :-)
