Entrapment
Spider web suspended over the water reflecting tree leaves. No photo editing was committed ;-)
“The means to gain happiness is to throw out from oneself like a spider in all directions an adhesive web of love, and to catch in it all that comes”
Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy
Wilbur (runty pig): I think you're beautiful.
Charlotte (heroic spider): Well, I am pretty. Nearly all spiders are good looking. I'm not as flashy as some, but I'll do.

How pretty! Webs have always facinated me...well, not those cobwebs that I sometimes find in my house! Very nicely done.
Oh wow! What a fantastic web and photo! The colors you've captured are glorious! I like the quotes too. Have you seen the new "Charlotte's Web" movie? I haven't, but I've heard it's good.
Charlotte's Web has always been a favorite of mine...and our daughter (Sophie) recently proclaimed "that was a good show" after seeing the movie.
Your photo is amazing...it's as if you're shooting from under the water's surface....and the colors are heavenly!
Spectacular photo.
oh my, this is stunning..Like it a lot!
I first thought it was against some trees in the background, but a water reflection makes it a much more striking picture, and the range of colors, mainly those on the top right corner looks superb. Of course the web is amazing. And finally, I prefer Tolstoy's quote, I should memorize it and keep it somewhere safe, it is lovely.
Fabulous!
Awesome photo. I love the spider webs on foggy mornings with the dew. Great blog!
I find spider webs, as long as they are outside, magical. Especially if there are dew drops decorating the strands and sun shining on it. I hate having them inside. I am alway on the lookout for them up in the ceiling corners or under furniture. I lived in AZ once and developed a fear of spiders there.
sympathique...
Very nice! Great job capturing the web.
The strongest fibre you can find Isabella. What a lovely picture, I am wondering where the camera is and where are you standing ?
Looks like you have taken great pains to take this picture. Its so rewarding Isabella, your efforts are my joy.
Wonderful photo...
This is a great and beautiful photo, but me? I'd be looking around for the owner of that web. :D
Thank you for visiting my blog and for commenting about the spider and maggots.
I like your spider web photograph. It is rich in color. I have one similar to this but it is covered with frost.
