Uptown, downtown #3

We are back in old Naples and it's approaching lunchtime. Since this is Friday, what do you say we indulge a bit, maybe some Italian?
Il Posto Cafe in the Plaza oozes that Mediterranean charm and the menu looks promising.

"Hailing from northern Italy, Il Posto specializes in cuisine from that region and lists among its more popular specialties a very flavorful veal rack piamontese that is prepared with porcini mushrooms, white truffles, white wine and a bit of veal juice. They also make excellent homemade pasta. The cavatelli is supreme and is served with extra-virgin olive oil, mushrooms and white wine sauce. Il Posto's desserts are shipped directly from Italy from a company called Fruta di Bosco, which makes beautiful and fine-tasting fruit tarts. Beer and wine is available, giving you a great excuse to sit and sip a little longer at your cute cafe table topped with fresh flowers." Naples City Guide

Anyone want to share a fruit tart with me?

Since you asked, YES! I'll just whiz over in my astral body. This restaurant looks like my style.

alors là, je me vois bien sur la terrase, prennant (vu l'heure en France) un petit dejeuner, je serais le plus heureux des hommes. belle photo. je souhaite un bon weekend et evite les rencontres du type serpents, et compagnie ;o)

then there, I see myself well on the terrase, fascinating (considering the hour in France) a breakfast, I would be happiest of the men. beautiful photograph. I wish a good weekend and avoids the meetings of the snakes type, and company; O)

Tiramisu, please, with real marscapone, direct from Italy! Sounds pricey! A great place for a special occasion.

Do you think they have a "dollar menu"?

I see Dsole beat me to it: go see Madrid's post today (a companion piece to you last Wednesday's photo).

Yes, an Italian restaurant is my favorite, and this one looks lovely. If you don't mind, I think I'll have tiramisu instead after a hearty meal of risotto, whih is divine, with a bit of salad, and of course, bread with olive oil.

Per favore, signora, nice huh! After many years of eating pizza, speaking Italian is easy.

Italian food - to me - is the best in the world. I boringly eat pasta every night of my life. Yeah I know - probably not good news. No matter, I enjoy it and now I'm old enough to do what I want (there are advantages to getting older, believe me) - and yes, please Isabella, I'd love to share a fruit tart with you but please can I have pasta first?

I don't know what is fruit tart Isabella. I would love to sit there for a while. I normally eat road side food while traveling. In my city I never eat out. My sister is a terrific cook. So I am not aware of good eating places in my city.
