Life's a beach (3)

"Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
*
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice"

If the world does end, I'm sure you'll post it here :-)
Thanks!

isabella, yes, you are very cruel. The photo is achingly beautiful to me. The rippled water and the clear blue colour are like siren calls. I think I have to move; do you have another bedroom? PS. Love your new avatar.

Just beautiful. It would seem as if it was taken at dusk yet perhaps too many people on the beach? What time of the day did you take it?

Love the light on the water and that sky is magnificent.

And very apt poem. Funny.

Isabella, I will say definitely that you guys have the game sewn up.
That's a brilliant part of the world. A subtropical climate; and the living is easy. Enjoy summer and be sure to show us that tan.

Isabella - Thanks for stopping by my blog. As Mae West said, when I'm good, I'm very, very good but when I'm bad I'm better. Pfizer makes both Celebrex (for arthritis) and Viagra. They have a major research lab in St. Louis, so it's understandable.

I'm interested in the technical side of this photo - camera, lens, focal length, F stop. What computer editing did you do? It is always interesting to learn how other photographers get such striking results.

Great shot - beautiful colors.
Will the old avatar be retired or used on another blog?
I don't know if I can cope with the new one :)

Don't know how you did the orange sky and the blue and white diamonds, but it works beautifully. You're a master.

I lost your MI blog URL. :|

Thanks all for sunbathing with me!

Kate - come on down...we'll find room for you!

Fabrizio and Nikon - hope you can learn to live with the new avatar - it was time to grow-up ;-)

Strangetastes - I am not a photographer, so that techno talk is gibberish to me ;-)
I used my old Kodak digital on auto, with very litle thought behind it - fairly typical for me!
Then in Picasa I enhanced the color of the sky to fit the poem better and voila!

Ruth - the url is on my profile!
