Bag lady

Old Naples, right off 3rd Street and it looks like another art gallery, right?

Actually, it's the famous boutique of Sonja Benson and her chic handbags. If that's your cup of tea, peruse to your heart's content.

I'll be waiting for you outside, by the fountain, coaching the goldfish to smile for the camera ;-)

I'm so glad that you finally got rid of those hideous beach scenes. I'm much rather spend my hard-earned money than bask in the sun, listen to the surf, walk in the sand---you get the picture, don't you, Isabella?

elle est tres belle cette fontaine. j'aime beaucoup, on a l'impression de voir une fontaine d'un petit quartier parisien

it is very beautiful this fountain. I like much, one has the impression to see a fountain of a small Parisian district

Naples really looks like a nice place!

Yes, obviously the bags are not "given". How many of those do you have?

Love buildings that are colorful. If you can get the gold fish to smile, let me know how you did it. lol

It is a wonderful photo. I have a niece that would love these bags. I don't think I'll tell her. Keep piece in the family.

Sorry, not for me, I'm going back to the beach.

I love the robin blue patina on the stautes. Based on your previous photos of shopping streets in Naples, everything is so ornate and beautiful.

Is Naples a wealthy enclave in west Florida?

P/S: Did the goldfish smile for the camera?

I'd definitely prefer to hang out with you and the goldfish!:) Interesting fountain, huh?

I never heard of Sonja Benson :)
But, I love the building & fountain.

Can't say I knew of Sonja Benson before I read this post. I guess Kate Spade and Judith Lieber are all passe now? Anyway, I would rather hang out with you and torment the goldfish, don't you know. :-)

P.S. Did you explain anywhere why you changed your profile photo?

Love the photo, it's a beautiful place. Goldfish tomorrow?

But I sure am glad to be a guy and to have lots of pockets to put things in. I couldn't afford to be a purse owner at those prices. I guess some guys carry man purses these days, but still.

Wow! One week off and missed all these beautiful beach photos! New York was much more grey, misty and cold on Saturday evening...

Kate - I hear you! More beach days coming up ;-)

Richard - which side of Florida will the newlyweds visit?

Peter - would you believe: none!

Ming - Naples surpassed West Palm Beach for the most millionaires per square mile a couple of years ago!

Z - I don't understand the fascination with my new avatar - people change them all the time! I just thought it was time to grow-up ;-) Do you miss it?

Thanks for visiting y'all!

Back again to follow up. Yes, I do miss the B+W shot. There was, IMHO, something special about it.

HI Isabella - the bride and groom are going to the "other" side, but at the sniff of a bag........
