Life's a beach (4)
Friday I showed you the Naples Beach north of the Pier. It is mainly family-oriented, rather quiet and sedate, with the emphasis on rest and relaxation.
South of the Pier is a different world - young, hip, active and hot (feel free to enlarge the photo ;-). Sail boat rentals, beer tents, music DJ, ball tournaments...
So I'm conducting this social experiment in order to get to know you better - on which side of the Pier will you spread your towel?

Depends upon my mood. For people watching I would choose the more active "hot" beach but to relax totally I'd go the area north of the Pier. Looks like great weather.
It all depends on who is reading this comment.....
wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
I've always enjoyed the South....
I would love to have replied the "hot" side, but those days are over. Lay my towel down on the north side these days!
Merci pour cette serie de photo, qui fait le plus grand bien, surtout que ce weekend sur Evry, c'etait pluie + pluie + pluie + pluie.
Tu as change la photo de ton profils.
Thank you for this series for photograph, which makes the largest good, especially that this weekend on Evry, it was rain + rain + rain + rain. You have exchange the photograph of your profiles.
i'll prefer the quiet beach hands down.
Social experiment data, eh?
I wouldn't attend either of the two. the north is not my style, the south beach looks a bit timid, but I have been know to attend beaches where you wouldn't get any tan lines. :D
Look at my profile photo, I enjoy being in the sun, me and my wife both do.
I skewed your results now didn't I?
So, now the sky is blue (really blue) again!
I would have liked to say rather the younger side, but there is perhaps an age limit?
Why, the south, of course. I still haven't grown up and hope I never do.
Of course, to answer seriously, then I'd actually opt for the pier itself cos I hate sunbathing. I've always chosen to live in hot places: LA, Cairns in Queensland, and now Menton, but I never sunbathe. Go figure....
Fantasticly inviting photo tho. I'd sit under a tent and people-watch - now that I love to do, preferably with an espresso alongside.
I will get my drink here first and spread my towel in the other side for my peachful daydream and a book
I like the idea of watching people so it would be the "hot" beach for me too.
In my dreams the South-siders do not run away screaming when I take off my shirt.
I'd be at a chic little beach side restaurant under a pretty parasol with a glass of rose and a pair of binoculars :)

It depends if you are alone or accompagnied...;-)and how old you are, like said Peter!
Interesting question ... no, not the crowded part, and the family part not either ... isn't there a very lonely beach??
hehe....depends on what time of the day i'm on the beach..if its sunset time, i prefer my beach to be calm and lonely so that i can enjoy it in peace but if its the daytime, i prefer where action is ...:)
What a really blue sky! How I miss summer ...
I'm not nearly tanned enough to fully enjoy the south side, plus I value relaxation. I'm a rather boring college student...
Interesting question.
There's a lot to see at the South side :)
I don't spend much time sitting on beaches. I might walk through either or both, or bike past them.
I think if I was going to spend the whole day on the beach lounging under a beach umbrella, it would be the North side for a bit of peace and quiet, but if I only had an hour or two before I had to go and catch a plane... it would be the South side, and I'd have my camera with me.
Normally the north side. But I always enlarge beach photos! Looks like a fun place to work on yoyr tan.
None of the above! I don't like sitting out in the sun and sand on my toes. I might venture out for a walk late in the afternoon or just before dinner.
I will be sitting inside the restaurant with A/C, drinking ice-tea and looking out the window. :-)
