Imitation of art

Last Thursday I bemoaned the fact that I cannot paint. But technology being what it is today, I wonder if it's even a valid point anymore...For example, I tinkered with this photo, taken at the Brooks Lagoon last week, and voilà!

A veritable painting, don't you think?

Your painting of your photograph is exceptionally beautiful. What really WOWS me the most though, is that low-flying heron(?) and its unbelievably cool reflection.

I agree, you did a great job! The colors are so wonderful. I like the photo as is, but you could also crop it almost anywhere and have a dozen or so other nice views! Like a closeup of the low-flying heron. Wow!
