Mellow yellow

hibiscus in my garden

Yellow is the color of sunshine. It's associated with joy, happiness, intellect, and energy.

Yellow produces a warming effect, arouses cheerfulness, stimulates mental activity, and generates muscle energy.

Bright, pure yellow is an attention getter, which is the reason taxicabs are painted this color.

Yellow is also a color of Easter.

Happy Easter!

How many chocolate eggs are you going to eat this morning? Virtually, I mean :))
Sunshiny yellow Easter to you!

I have never seen a yellow hibiscus before. It is absolutely stunning. It looks huge too; much bigger than the regular hibiscus.

Happy Easter.

I love the flower and its colors and texture. You outdid yourself on this one. It will be a month or more before we can show flowers here. It is freezing this morning. The wildlife are gluttons now. I guess they need it more to stay warm than putting on fat. Anyway, Happy holiday to you.

Lovely sunshine yellow hibiscus! Perhaps it's the only yellow sunshiney moment I'll have all day.... as I look out of my window here in S Ontario, Canada, I see an inch of SNOW, grey sky, wind howling through the bare branches, and my poor little daffodils still lying low, poking only 1/2 inch above the ground. So thank you for that lovely yellow hibiscus, you have brightened my day!

Like other visitors to your blog today, we have snow and our daffodils are on their sides in grief. I see that even you have only 55 degree temps today! But the Easter sunshine of this hibiscus warms me up. Thank you, and Happy Easter, Isabella!

Wonderful shot and color. I didn't know yellow was the color of Easter.
Isn't there an old song that says "they call me mellow yellow.."?!

Happy Easter to all!

Beautiful flower, but where's the bee? I expected something animalistic or at least slightly frightening.
Happy Easter!

Oh you are so right. Yellow is the colour of all the best things, most of all it's a HAPPY colour and it's my favourite colour. Nearly all my walls are yellow - and curtains - and my heart....(well you know what I mean!)

Thank you for giving us such a happy yellow Easter and this comes with every good wish for yours to be a happy one too.

Pretty amazing flower, come to think of it, and pretty amazing photography...

Because I'm not happy to be back in a cold climate, I loved the splash of yellow that reminds me of the sun I'm missing in Mazatlan. It's a truly lovely flower.
