Uptown, downtown #5

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This is one of the prettiest storefronts in town. A Mano ("by hand" in Spanish), is a unique boutique offering handmade decorative items, mainly from France, Spain and Italy.

I find this photo very appropriate for today - in addition to all the pastel colors associated with Easter, I overheard this mother explaining to her little girl about the rebirth of the flowers in the storefront garden...

I love the large urns with lemons painted on it. It reminds me of the Mediterranean.

More warmth and serenity - you should be with the tourist board! NB you are absolutely right about viewfinders - if it's going to be your main camera, I wouldn't be without one

Wonderful shot of the shopfront and that pot (wow!) and the mother and child. The eye is drawn past the pot to the couple and it's good to read your lovely story.

I'm sorry I missed the discussion on photography versus painting as an art form yesterday but I've added my two cents' worth regardless! Had to.

I meant to say that I agree it is a strange and sad thing, what you said on my blog, about knowing neighbors. Of course in Paris you have to walk a lot, which takes you down the street. Here we're in cars a lot (except when you stroll us around Naples). My daughter loves living in NYC partly because she sees people's faces, and not behind windshields.

Your last 3 or 4 posts have looked so warm and sunny. Can you believe we actually had SNOW here yesterday? I need some sunshine NOW, can you meet me at the airport???

I don't suspect there are any ugly storefronts in Naples!
I'm struck by the beauty captured in the mother-daughter exchange. You can just see that mom is willing to take all the time in the world to answer her daughter's questions!

belle boutique. les couleurs sont tres belles. Je te souhaite un bon weekend de pâques, en esperant que les alligators ne jouent pas à la chasse aux oeufs

beautiful shop. the colors are very beautiful. I wish you a good weekend of Easter, by hoping that the alligators do not play hunting for eggs

It looks almost like someone's house and that little girl is gorgeous with her little sun hat.
Is there anywhere in Naples less than perfect...seriously?
