Reflections

The week-end's approaching - take time out to enjoy the view ;-)

...The birds around me hopped and played,
Their thoughts I cannot measure:-
-But the least motion which they made
It seemed a thrill of pleasure.
*
The budding twigs spread out their fan,
To catch the breezy air;
And I must think, do all I can,
That there was pleasure there.
*
If this belief from heaven be sent,
If such be Nature's holy plan,
Have I not reason to lament
What man has made of man?
*
Lines Written In Early Spring by William Wordsworth (1798)

The elements of the photo, including the poem, all work well together. I love the floral splash of persimmon and enjoy how it cradles the left side.

Beautiful! The bird is ignoring you because it looks like it's ready to pick up some fish for dinner :-)

Usually there's an alligator lurking somewhere in your seemingly serene shots....did you leave him back at the house this time?
Yet another beautiful shot!!

Absolute stunner, Isabella. Perfect composition, the colours, the reflection in the water. Wondrous.

...and pretty good poetry too.

The bird seems to be saying 'hey, ignore all that mass of bougainvillea, look at me, I'm the beautiful one.' He knew the competition and wouldn't look at it. Clever bird.
