There goes the neighborhood (1)

Today I'm starting a new series - homes in my community. It will also let you see the typical residential landscaping.

Most communities consist of garden condominiums, coach homes, villas, single-family homes, executive homes, premium estates and luxury high-risers, but I will concentrate on the middle of the road executive homes (price range $1-3 million).

This one is representative of the Naples gated community 1-level style homes. In the rear, it sports a large caged lanai with a pool and a view of a lake...or a golf course...or both ;-)

Oh, what an expensive home. I definitely can't afford buying it.

Imissed your profile photo switch, sorry!

It's a shame to spend that much money on a house and not put some of it into improving the look....those look like asphalt shingles?! I thought you had all tile in Florida?!

But the landscaping looks great...palm trees and blue skies make everyone jealous....how's the heat?

Well, well...! A real estate agent photo!

Now, tell us also something negative around this, please! If not...!

Nice shack! You'd better get james a new set of glasses, those "shingles" are definitely tile.

Don't see the neither the Re/Max sale Ad (your satisfaction is our #1 goal) nor any clouds... :(
But we know the agent name ;)
Have a nice week!

Middle of the road, eh? The notion of 'middle' is an eminently flexible one, isn't it?
All the people I've met, no matter what their income, always see themselves as 'average'. Of course there's always someone above you and someone underneath you (income wise of course, not to be taken in any other way) so people see themselves as 'average' - that never ceases to amaze me!

Definitely way out of my price range, but I can still dream can't I?

Lovely Wife and I like to take evening drives and over the past years I've gotten quite a collection of photographs such as this of homes in our area that we thing are beautiful. Sometimes the gate on gated communities is up for open houses or for construction and we temporarily lower property values by driving through these neighborhoods in our old Camry and take photos and oggle at the homes.

Incredible! Two years ago, I visited some friends of mine in Florida. They took me to their best friends' place. I think it was this house!!!!!!!!!!! I don't remember the name of the "gated community". Not very far from Daytona Beach......

Thank you very much for your comment on my new blog about Montpellier.
