"We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open." -- Jawaharlal Nehru
There have been a lot of "hens and chicks" around lately on different blogs. Is this another one, a hybride? They seem to take all forms! (I know nothing aobut plants, just like to see them.)
It looks like what I call an 'asparagus fern', though that may not be the correct name. I have had one in a pot for 20 years, it is very tough. And I'm in southern Australia, which is colder than Florida.
Naples, on the Gulf Coast of Florida - the only subtropical area in the contiguous United States.
Year-round sunshine, white sandy beaches, championship golf courses (and the most millionaires per square mile in the world!).
So come, take a dip, the water's temperature is a constant 74°F. But please, DO NOT FEED THE ALLIGATORS!!!

What an interesting plant, Isabella! Not sure if I've ever seen them.
We have a guest's photo in the Guelph blog today!

Guelph Daily Photo
What a pretty plant! I would like to know which species they are.
Now THAT is a freakin cool looking plant! It reminds me of a cross between a fern and octopus arms.
I wonder if a plant like this would grow in Minnesota....
Can't help with the name, sorry, but I've seen them here.
I was stunned by the designated smoking area on the beach. OMG you Americans are real control freaks aren't you?
...Or is not politically correct to say things that way?
It seems to be some kind of fern, but I don't know what it is.
tres belle photo, on dirait une pieuvre essayant d'attraper sa proie.
very beautiful photograph, one would say an octopus trying to catch its prey.
To me, it looks like a marine plant that relocated recently. It even looks like it's swaying in the currents. I would love to know its name.

Medusa is the first thought I had when I saw the photo.

i want to meet Medusa, give me her phone number. want to ask if snakes are eating her brain.
long time Isabella, been traveling a lot
hope you doing fine.
lots of love
is it some kinda fern??? it sure adds a lovely touch to the place...
Yes, the snake-like plant is quite beautiful. I love it.
I've never seen one of these before. Kinda creeepy and pretty at the same time. It looks to be more creature than plant.
..and I can certainly understand why. it's an interesting combination in this planting.
