Sentinels

This photo reminds me of one of my favorite holiday movies "The March of the Wooden Soldiers" (original title: "Babes in Toyland") with Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. In it, Stan and Ollie who work for a toymaker, instead of building 600 one-foot wooden soldiers as per order, mistakenly build 100 six-foot soldiers. Fun and mayhem ensues, only to end in a "happily ever after" (this is Hollywood, after all)!

that sounds like a really funny movie...but to me, Laurel & Hardy can be quite violent sometimes :-)

Happy holidays to you Isabella!

It also reminds me of the Nutcracker Suite, without the fanfare!

la maison (avec ces soldats) est superbe. moi aussi j'aime Laurel et Hardy. il en passe souvent à la television française. (meme si mon comique americain prefere reste harold lloyd).

Those nutcrackers are quite tall, maybe life size? It must be lovely to walk around and explore neighborhoods in such gorgeous weather. :) It's rainy and not too cold today. We're still hoping for snow in the next 4 days!

Loving your Christmas photos, even though the weather looks very un-Christmas like.
