Cherish
I no longer make New Year's resolutions. My success rate is pretty low - good intentions are usually forgotten halfway through January.
Reading some of my favorite bloggers lately, I noticed a trend; instead of making resolutions, people adopt words they will focus on throughout the year. Words like: forgiveness, compassion, risk, health, understanding, adventure, love, acceptance, spirituality...
So I pick the word "Cherish" for 2008. To be aware and appreciative of the people in my life, the places I hold dear and simple moments like this one - curling up in a comfy chair with a good book and Truffles gently snoring on top of my head...
What's your word?

For tonight will be my word 'Champagne' and the next morning 'Aspirin' o).
I think the word will qu'aimer of many people.
Medée and I wish you all our wishes for this
New Year 2008.
This is a beautiful way of going about the new year. You are always so innovative - so original, Isabella. One of the dozens of things I love and admire you for.
My word? - well, I need two actually - they are TOLERANCE (for when I selfishly forget to see something from another person's point of view) and PERSEVERANCE (because I need that to get further on with my writing.
And please give Truffles a big kiss from me.
this is such a sweet pic, Isabella...wish you , Truflles and all those whom you cherish a beautiful new year ahead. It's not been a very great end to the year for us ....and at this point of time, guess the word that does for us is "hope".....I am hopeful that new year will bring glad tidings......for us and all. Take care ......we moved out of Florida a coupla days back and i am already missing all that it meant to me!!!!
PEACE
HaPpY nEw YeAr!!! Wishing you life's best this 2008!

Champagne would be nice (w/o Aspirine...), but it seems that «busy? is going to be the word... ;))
Have a picture for you at Revival 90s... ;))

I left my word PRECIOUS on my post today for you! Ahhhh, Truffles is so cute, and I love this photo. Happy New Year!
My word, Survive :-)
Have a great New Years Eve & day, Isabella & a big hug to truffles!!!
Words words words Izzidee, the only practical thing i can really do and we are all doing is to 'EVOLVE'
Some refuse to evolve, Some go in reverse gear. Such people messing up the world and causing all the misery.
Happy New year Izzidee
How 'bout "organize?" If I can ever get organized, I will have hope to have time to appreciate those I cherish, to better understand and accept them with unconditional love! But right now, I just plan to get all these photos I took last year organized on CDs and flash drives to be saved for posterity!
Happy New Year!
Truffles is precious. Aren't pets the best? Thanks for your comment on what Duncan just might be thinking--it made me grin!
Many words to live by this coming year.
Enjoy

Oh this is adorable! :)
I love the doggy photo!
When I get in my recliner, our four poodles stand looking at me with their tails wagging. Angel, our white toy poodle immediately runs up my body and sits on my right shoulder/back of the chair. I put a blanket across my legs to allow Spike, a black miniature to sit in the "sling" there between my knees. The other two, Rosie and Lilly each get a thigh/chair arm. And I'm thoroughly draped in critters.
Sometimes the cat jumps up there too, but that can cause bad vibes. The cat's old, cranky, and only has one eye so she doesn't care. If the dogs give her too much attitude, she does that 30 punches per second thing that cats can do and sends them in all directions.
I'm not doing resolutions this year either. I know what I need to do and I'm going to just do my best for my health and for my family.
I think I'm going to adopt "risk" this year.
I'm too much of a planner and always playing it safe. I need to loosen up a little.
