Shade seekers #1

Our hot and muggy season is finally coming to an end...In a few days, the weather pattern will break and comfortable, dry and warm air will move in for the next 6 to 7 months. Yippee!

In the meantime, I am starting a short series on looking for shade, like this brown pelican, seeking shelter under Estero Bridge.

"Strange animal fact" #2:
Some lions mate over 50 times a day.

Obviously those lions don't live in that hot and muggy environment where the penguin resides! 50 times a day--what energy!!

Oh so the weather will get a bit cooler and not so humid soon? Great! I'm looking forward to my time at Ormond Beach.

We have only three seasons Izzidee, hot hotter and hottest.
Now we are moving from hotter to hot, that is November to January.

On dirait un équilibriste dans un cirque, sans filet.

One would say an equilibrist in a circus, without net.

What would I do without you to nake me laugh in the mornings, Isabella? No wonder lions lie about all day on those African plains recovering...

And a lovely photograph. I'd like to walk on this bridge, stop, lean on the barrier and just enjoy.

Nice photo. The lonesome life of a Pelican. No wonder they are always perched on a post near where people gather. Lonesome birds.

Well after your turtle, it's no wonder you found the lion info.
Now you know why it's called a "Pride" of lions :-)

If your back in Naples, Glad to see you home.
As a young boy when I realized that most of our year is hot and muggy, I decided that would be my favorite time of the year. Now as an old guy I just sweat and I'm happy as a duck in a pond or a seagull in the shade.

Lions mate 50 times a day ? That is why i wonder why no lion has written any book and i am yet to find a lion poet. But some lions have composed symphonys.

The pelican can join my today's "lone pigeon".....right now I'm listening to your Chopin...also a favourite of mine.

I do rather like the shot of the loungers at the Hyatt

(Oh...and at this moment I think a pigeon is trying to mate outside my study window.)

How nice to see you once again at R u T. You'd be welcome as a "bar fly" attendee.
