Shade seekers #3

We are in luck! Found this shady sidewalk bistro downtown Naples. Sunday Brunch, perhaps? And check out that humongous Bloody Mary at the forefront table...

"Strange animal fact" #4:
A giraffe can clean its ears with its 21-inch tongue.

First of all, what are those horses doing?
Secondly, I don't think I'd be happy about cleaning my ears with my tongue! But I guess if you are a giraffe, you don't have many other options.

I have been in that place...lol

Wonder what the couple was looking at? I think she was looking at the horses but he seems to have his eyes gazed on something else.

I enlarged the photo to see that drink. Not bad, and it's colour coordinated to match the orange shrubs.

I'm sure she's not driving, so go ahead and enjoy.
As for the giraffe, why would a creature with such a long neck, also need such a long tongue?

21 inch tongues are perfectly suitable for humongous Bloody Marys; why using it for ear cleaning?... ;)
Sorry for having been a bit absent lately, but I was abroad on a professional trip last week. One day I’ll probably show some pictures from a somehow unusual destination...
Trying to recover some time, I’m posting on Germany (Koblenz, December 2005) on Blogtrotter.
Have a great time!

I won't go into it now but during the second war, I was a small kid and heard the words, "bloody mary" and had no idea they were talking about a drink.

The photo is nice. I would love to smoke a pipe and drink some good coffee there.

I can drink the coffee but gave up smoking on Sunday evening, March 10, 1996.

Isabella, go to St. Louis Daily blog today (Monday) for a real "treat"--you may or may not like the culinary delight!

this looks a most agreeable place to sip a glass of wine or yes, a Bloody Mary.

I am about to invest in tranquillizers so I can cope with your Strange Animal Facts. Today's fact needs two tablets!

Oweee IZZIDEE sweet ! Now i know why i never won any arguement with a giraffe.

In Urdu language, you don't pick up a fight with a person (Women to be very spesssific) with a long tongue.

'Badi Lambi zabaan hai tumhaari'
You have a very long tongue, a mother tells her daughter.
Meaning you always pick up fights you always keep nagging.

A chatter box is quite different. Not refered as long tongue.

A sharp tongue is hurtful. We say you have scissors in your mouth.
'Khainchi' is scissors.
so you stay away from women with a long tongue or with scissors in their mouth. Usually women selling fish.

That is a massive drink.

Does today's fact mean that Gene Simmons is a giraffe?

Isabella, it is with great pride - I declare you "a really good guesser".
I am also tickled pink, that you were the only commenter on my "guess what this is" post, to stand up proudly and declare a spade, a spade (or a bum, a bum as the case may be.)
No wonder you are one of my favourites!
