Grumpy Bird
"Bird wakes up feeling grumpy. Too grumpy to eat or play - too grumpy even to fly."
I wonder if Jeremy Tankard had this bird in mind when he wrote his book;-)

No worries Isabella, we'll cheer him up with our insane comments. Tell him to fly over for a cup of tea at my place!
I left a comment on your post of 23 April, your reflection photos are just gorgeous, especially the last one.
I doubt that this little bird will be able to fly all the way to Avignon, although Nathalie's table looks inviting. The poor one must have had a bad night!
(You have once more managed to combine the perfect image and text!)
Nice little bittern photo. I think they always look like or remind me of hobos.
As to why he looks grumpy,
Maybe he has "worms".
I haven't stopped by recently, and I am glad I did today! The bird looks grumpy, but kinda cute in his way. Also, your reflection photos are amazing. Someday soon, I am driving west to see your town.
Well he sure got out of bed on the wrong side, didn't he?
I think he looks rather noble! How would you like your photo taken the minute you wake up?! :)
He can come to my garden with the siskins, goldficnhes and chaffinches. Sure that would cheer him up. Have seen a UK bittern, mote not an amrican. Both look moody. Brilliant photograph
Greetings from Nashville!
I wanted to let you know I stopped by and have been enjoying your photos!
Please excuse that I'm cutting and pasting this comment, but since my right arm (my writing arm!) is still in a sling, typing is pretty difficult, so I really haven't been able to make comments.
Have a great weekend!
Chris
ps grumpy-how i feel with this stupid constraint!
This one made me literally laugh out loud.
He's hilarious.
He reminds me of the St Patrick's day hangover bird.
Why ARE birds so funny?
He's pining for the fijords.
Ah ah he really looks like my ex husband with his big belly and his skinny legs :-)
I wonder if Marie's ex blogs? Very funny comment of hers. The bird does indeed look grumpy...or maybe determined??
very beautiful picture, and picture background is also very good.
Speaking of nature , The film " The Cove" is a great documentary that incorporates nature and actisim at its best. The film will actually be showing at the Naples Film Festival this Thursday. The director of the film will also be there.Everyone should see this film!
