Couplehood II

fish in my lagoon

To celebrate the arrival of Spring (and all that it implies), I am continuing with the series titled "Couplehood".

Fish 1: "Did I ever tell you about the fisherman I got away from?"

Fish 2: "Yes, many times. And each time you tell the story, the hook grows bigger and bigger!"

more tomorrow...

The narrative is funny, no doubt about it, but did you know that fish have a memory cycle of just two or three seconds? It's like short term memory loss :)

What sort of fish are they. They look cute, too cute to eat!

With lips like those they got to be carp. But probably not since you are in Florida. Nice photography.

That is very funny. I laughed so loudly the dogs started barking and wondering what was going on. It's a bit like a painting I have - three men - ears, eyes and mouth covered - I hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil and they are surrounded by monkeys. ... big grin...

My strange associations "talent" kicked in as I started to read this. I knew a guy from Missouri who once explained to me how "lagoon"s in his part of the world were sewage treatment facilities. Just so that you don't think I'm nuts, look at the first Google hit for "septic tank lagoon":

So, I must ask. What does "lagoon" mean to you?

Z - I associate lagoons with the movie "The Blue Lagoon" ;-)

Everybody who asked what kind of fish is it - it's a bream-catfish-mullet-perch-largemouth bass-crappie kind of a fish...OK, I admit, I have no idea ;-)

Awesome photo. The colors on the fish are amazing. Are they ciclid?
