I've heard of a "privacy hedge", but this is ridiculous ;-)

Well, at least I believe you can pass by. Try to the left or the right; it should work! ... and I guess the shadow is appreciated?

Wow! I suddenly realized that I really missed to visit your great city through your blog. This picture is great. Palm trees look like a bouquet of roses or some like that.

This palm (Phoenix reclinata) has been over groomed and is now an angular piece of art. If it was left to nature it would be a softer and denser screen for the house. Google 'Phoenix reclinata' and see how beautiful the palm can be.

Hi Isabella,
Thanks for your comment on my blog.
I survived the Greek fires. Actually I was in the Islands (Kos, Crete and Mykonos) where there were no fires; only the island of Evia was somehow affected. I’m glad to be back and catch up your posts!
Now, «privacy hedge»? At least you may probably look at!
The Endless Blue post remembers me of Camoens, the 16th century Portuguese epic poet for whom Portugal was «where the land ends, and the sea beginns, and Phoebus rests in the Ocean...»
As I’m late, my posts at Blogtrotter are still in Bali 2005. Hope you enjoy it, anyhow!
Have a great weekend!

That's really lovely-sort of overdone in a classy sort of way.

If that's a Privacy Hedge, I can't wait to see the Guard Dog!

For what it's worth, I've never heard it called a privacy hedge up my way.
You plant trees and hedges for privacy but never heard that useage.
Anyway, like Kate said, I'll take the house :)

What an impressive batch of palms!

I like it, myself. But then again, I like anchovies too, so don't mind me.
