For Rauf, who might or might not get to heaven ;-)

The pink blooms are vivid and a wonderful contrast to the rest of the photo.

i asked my mom where do all the animals go when they die
she said nowhere, only humans go to heaven and hell
that is when i decided to become a monkey.
i am getting there.
Besides, there would be no concerts in heaven
all my favourites would be burning and singing in hell.
You have been giving me a peek into heaven every day, i am happy with that
Thankee sweet Izzidees.

What a marvelous sentiment Emily had about birds.

I keep enlarging the photo, wondering what kind of heron this is and is it actually real? And the Dickinson quote is perfection.

Not only is your theme appropriate for rauf, but the photo is too, it could be one of his from the jungle.

You in the tropics get some beautiful flora and fauna, but you also get the heat and humidity, which is more than I can handle, I'm afraid.

Just beautiful. You and Emily got it right.

Great shot! So just how do you prepare the bird for dinner? I do not see a recipe and am wondering whether I should bring just wine or wine with cranberry sauce?
Was Rauf invited too?

Beautiful shot, Isabella - everything is perfect!

That heron looks perfectly content.

If you have not seen a tomato horn worm lately, complete with cocoons of predator wasps aboard, then take a look if you have time.

These birds are so graceful and regal. Beautiful colours in the photo and the water looks surreal!!!

Hi Isabella,

Your blue heron photo has a nice composition with the florals, and water and reflections..coincidence that we both photographed the same bird in the same week!
