Of chocolate and lizards...

Venetian village, Naples

See the lizard advancing on the discarded ice cream cone at the base of the statue? Is that a strawberry-chocolate double dipper?

You think this lizard is aware of the recent study showing that eating chocolate reduces blood pressure? Should we tell him that only dark chocolate is beneficial? Are lizards stressed enough to even develop hypertension?

No answers today. Only silly questions ;-)

Quite fitting as I just read the dark chocolate article on the Internet. Interesting photo.

déjà le lézard a bon gout, et il est gourmand. tu parles a un drogué du chocolat. Le chocolat noir (avec un grand pourcentage de cacao) a des tonnes de vertus mais aussi un défaut (malheureusement) ;o).

already the lizard has good taste, and it is greedy. you speak doped one of the chocolate. The black chocolate (with a great percentage of cocoa) has tons of virtues but also a defect (unfortunately) ;O).

Am I hallucinating? The ice cream is part of the statue (minor tragedy) - hasn't the lizard been past here before. Was no one else mildly surprised that a real discarded ice cream should be left there? Or have I been in Switzerland too long

I'm happy that you don't force us to answer your silly questions! :-)

Well captured!

Is the lizard a baby or an adult? Now, YOU have to answer a silly question!

If you look at that, it reminded me of someone's false teeth. Perhaps the lower they put there for some odd reason. I had read the comments to realize it was an ice cream cone.

Very interesting photograph - are those a child's legs, by the way. I read the title of the sculpture which appears to be Minor something or other - looks like it could be Minor Tragedy - in which case, oh dear.

Anyway back to our lizard. I wouldn't have thought, unless this was mozzie double moth ice-cream, with lashings of squashed fly topping, that our hero would be remotely interested.

This is from a Training Video put out by the US Dept.of Lizard Health which attempts to train young lizards to eat right and stay healthy.

Even a diploma holding idiot like me will not leave a half eaten cone like that.

Is your lizard a yoga instructor ?

That is one lucky lizard.

Great catch! No need to talk of blood pressure; I've already taken my daily Losartan... ;)

Lovely Wife and I have been furniture shopping lately, and a couple of furniture stores had a fake overturned glass of wine on sofas to help them regale us with the virtues of the stain resistant cloth used.

Methinks that's one of the fake dropped ice cream cones, though I did have to look as hard as the lizard is to be sure.

Great capture.

Drats! I tried pulling the wool over your eyes and failed ;-)
Richard, Jilly and Jam are spot on - the ice cream cone is an integral part of the "minor tragedy" statue!

Abe - huh?

Thanks for sharing in my silliness...
