"We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open." -- Jawaharlal Nehru
I have been walking under mangroves, capturing crabs. I remember the brownish color of the shallow waters, humidity and mosquitoes! but it is so beautiful to see. This picture reminds me of a H. Bogart' movie.
I don't get out of Florida much. I'd like to go up into some mountains, even The Smokies would work for me. Something hilly, different, and not quite so hot and humid.
I grew up in Naples and moved away when I was 17. So little is left of the Naples I knew from the 1960s, but the inland waterways and the mangrove swamps remind me of the Naples I once knew. More pictures like this! Thank you.
Naples, on the Gulf Coast of Florida - the only subtropical area in the contiguous United States.
Year-round sunshine, white sandy beaches, championship golf courses (and the most millionaires per square mile in the world!).
So come, take a dip, the water's temperature is a constant 74°F. But please, DO NOT FEED THE ALLIGATORS!!!

What a beautiful river; I think I'd follow it wherever it went!
I love the blue of the water - where would I like to go? wow, that is a good question :)
To the sea, to the sea, to the beautiful sea . . . you and me.
Une belle photo, pour une belle citation de Blaise Pascal. Bravo. C'est le chemin du retour ?
A beautiful photograph, for a beautiful quotation of Blaise Pascal. Cheer. It is the way of the return?
But I guess that here you have some kind of a labyrinth? Maybe difficult to find your way anyhow?
It looks very nice though, so even if you lose some time....
You can go wherever you want, as least as far as the first alligator.
In Holiday I ever loved to go where heart drove me. Overall United Kingdom (what I consider me 2nd home) but I miss Australia, Japan and USA too.
Your friend Pascal has never heard of waterfalls Izzidee.
Beautiful photograph, beautiful quotation. Where do we wish to go? Too much to write for your comments - you'd tell me off...
The word Mangrove summons up Cairns for me and mangrove swamps. This is just stunning. I could live here.

That's the question-where do we wish to go. Most of us just go where the tide takes us.
Beautiful place

I loe this, it reminds me so much of Sarasota.
I want to go to go see snow for a day! Something to break up the monotony of the Miami summer.
