Old habits die hard...so here is one more quiz ;-)
This tree, which technically is not a tree at all, produces one of the most popular foods on earth.
Today's question: what kind of (not a) tree is it?

Ok, Ms. Famous Quiz Queen: come to my blog and see what you think mine is! :-) You always stump me, but maybe I'm not so very clever as you. Abe Lincoln is the oNLY one to put his 2 cents in thus far. And I don't want to reveal it until I have at least TWO! Where is everyone...on vacation?
Oh...is this a white Bird of Paradise mating with a tequila plant?
you said no more questions IZZI,
porcupine eggs ?? something to do with pine ? pine mango ? Pine lemmon ? land mine ? oh yes i got it, its pine orange.
Hamburgers and French Fries...grow on trees??
pineapple
Kate beat me to it - ok it's a Pizza tree. I was going to say banana, although I have no idea what a banana tree looks like, but then I realised I couldn't spell bananana. (or as someone said, "Sure I know how to spell banananana - I just don't know when to stop")
A Spam tree?
Bread fruit...
banana??? The leaves look so banana-ish..and i remember learning as a child that banana tree does not have trunk ..so am i right???? if so, pass on the spoils please :)
It looks like a "nice tree" to me. I am not acquainted with the tropics so I am not educated on types of not trees there are.
But bread fruit sounds like a winner.

le retour de la question qui tue ;o) alors là aucune idée , j'hesite entre entre la banane et le sucre.
the return of the question which kills; O) then there no idea, I hesitate between between banana and sugar.
Oh my! I am not ready for a question, first you have them, then you don't, now you do again. I am so confused.
I have a question for everyone. Will Isabella have a question next week or not?
Meanwhile, I'll go have a banana for breakfast :-)
Well it looks like an ornamental banana - musa - or a type of Strelitzia - don't think the leaf is right for breadfruit, so I'll go with banana.
Is banana the most popular food on earth? Probably amongst tennis players when they change ends... here it's pasta and it doesn't look like a pasta tree to me.
Anyone remember when Panorama did a serious programme (BBC) on how spaghetti grew on trees? Shows your age if you remember it! Millions believed it!
Great to see the Return of the Quiz, Isabella - long may it reign.
Tuesdays aren't the same without it.
IZZI, i mean you said last question was THE LAST QUESTION.
please believe me, don't get me wrong. I love the quiz, with my 2.25 IQ its easy for me to answer all your questions. i have sold all my intelligence and 500 grams is still left, you want some Izzi ?
Banana.
or perhaps Date.
or meybe Sharks fin...
Kuanyin - you need to turn your "comments on", you silly girl ;-)
Jilly - well, money grows on trees, why not spaghetti?
Frank - I'm a woman, it's my prerogative to change my mind ;-)
Rauf - while it's true, you don't need any intelligence for this blog, and "ignorance is bliss", can you really afford to sell it all? ;-)
Pizza tree
Ignorance is bliss? Why am I always depressed :)
Does the tree have golden arches?
I'm with Slinger on this one -- pineapple.

It's a banana plant, you knuckleheads!!!
Sorry, Moi, no spoils to divvy up, but next time you're in my area, you can pick a bananana, as Richard calls them ;-)
Thanks all for playing along...
i am not a knuckle head you silly girl, mine is a coconut, thick and well protected, inside is still brand new, unused. unused brains are very valuable y'know ?
didn't stop by yesterday which is maybe as well since I didn't have an answer -- but yes I was only a lad when the BBC did the spaghetti tree and I knew the date and I wasn't daft and not fooled, but the BBC are still telling porkies [Issi - jilly may translate] and have just been fined by the authorites for it!
Ackworth Born - of course it was an April 1st joke, wasn't it? I'd forgotten that...
And yes indeed the BBC are still telling porkies (let's politely say little white lies by way of translation which I don't think Isabella, needs, A.Born.) Something about The Queen was not amused! This probably received world-wide publicity but Vanity Fair photographer extraordindaire, Annie Lieberwich, asked the Queen to remove her crown when she was dressed up the robes of the Garter?? Maybe it wasn't robes of the Garter but something like that.
You can tell the rest, A. Born.
What the BBC got fined for was actually falsyfing the winner of a phone-in poll.
But the royal hue-hah is that a trailer to film suggests the Queen walked out of a film shoot but in actual fact two pieces of film were edited out of sequence.
So now its lies, damn lies and film editors!
Funnily enough, here I am with my glass of Pinot Grigio watching the BBC news. Hadn't heard about the phone-in dramas. Hey, move to France, the dramas are far more important! Like what wine to choose, what to eat for dinner. Now that really matters....
Amen, Jilly!
And pass that bottle of Pinot Grigio over here, please ;-)
Ackworth - ever since you sent us the Beckhams, I have no sympathy left for you and your British media frenzy! Try finding legit news in the States now ;-)
Ah Jilly is in right :-) and me too I vote for a Pinot Grigio. Sorry to be in late but I'd have said a carnivorous plant :-)
Strelitzia nicoli it is a white form of Bird of Paradise.
