Simple things

Mangroves at Estero Estuary

"Heaven above was blue, and earth beneath was green; the river glistened like a path of diamonds in the sun; the birds poured forth their songs from the shady trees; the lark soared high above the waving corn; and the deep buzz of insects filled the air."

~Charles Dickens Nicholas Nickleby

This makes me just want to walk the planks and jump right in!

Just beautiful and with a perfect quotation - as always.

I clicked on the mangrove link, which led me to an earlier page and then another link to red mangroves. So reminds me of the mangroves in Cairns which I loved but which brought masses of mosquitoes. Do you have mozzies in Florida?

The scene reminds me of alligators and other big bites. Very nice photograph.

What a lovely photo, and a perfect quote to go with it!

YEAH!, Rambling Round, - and make the Tarzan noise!
And what are we talking here - a bomb, a star or a swan dive?

Jilly - this is our dry season, so no mozzies ;-)

Is that your bicycle? - its presence makes the picture as otherwise it is beautiful but lacking in signs of life.
