Remains of the day

Thanksgiving Day...evening (photo taken from my backyard)

"Softly the evening came.
The sun from the western horizon
Like a magician extended his golden want o'er the landscape;

Trinkling vapors arose;
and sky and water and forest
Seemed all on fire at the touch, and melted and mingled together."

~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Nice view Isabella. I'm afraid I was so deep into the Thanksgiving festivities with the family that I had not noticed the sun setting. :D
I hope you had a wonderful day.
Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving!

WOW! Come on, that's not fair, so much beauty around and one inside dealing with papers...
Et le dinde???

"It takes less time to do a thing right than explain why you did it wrong." said Longfellow. One of the few quotes I ever learnt. However difficult advice to follow!
Happy continuation of Thanksgiving!

We had ice pellets here about the time you were taking the sunset photo. It is 30 here this morning. I like you sunset. It sure is brilliant.

Longfellow knew a thing or two. There's a sculpture of him in Menton, as you may remember.

And you know a thing or two, too - about photography. Just beautiful.

Spectacular sunset.
It is very rare for us to see one like this.
Do you get them like that often?
(Please, only answer if you can roll off the couch to do so - I've heard about those notorious thanksgiving pig-outs!).

Hey - how did that happen?!

Great sunset, especially the way the clouds stand out.
I'm looking at a brilliant full moon right now ( there are several jokes possible :)

what a beautiful view, Isabella.....much as I complain about heat and humidity, I am gonna miss these spectacular sunsets of Florida when I move lock, stock , and barrel to West Coast...

I was into some pretty intense turkey and dressing eating about this time and missed it altogether.

You caught a beautiful sunset there.
