Winners and losers
Do you remember The Tortoise and the Hare fable? Well, this is the Florida version: The Turtle and the Gator (please enlarge the photo for a closer look).
As you can see, the turtle won the race...or did he? Draw your own conclusions ;-)
Not totally off topic: I've been under the weather lately and, as it usually happens when I run a fever, I've had some interesting dreams/nightmares/ hallucinations...
In one of them I was teaching a large snapping turtle how to climb a ladder so he could reach a microwave (precariously balanced on the top step), get inside of it and press the right button to "reheat" himself whenever he felt cold!?
In another dream nightmare, George Clooney was regretting that he cannot marry me, because "he does not feel worthy of me". Bugger!

Hmmmmm...this sounds like one of those stories or movies where you are left hanging to wonder what happened...like the end of "Gone with the Wind."
So, now that the turtle has "won" the race, does the gator sneak up behind him and eat him?
Hope not!
haha.......a cliffhanger ending!!!! did the turtle live to see another day or at least thaw itself in a microwave???
Wow, that is one big turtle. He could probably hold up a fight against the croc. Maybe?
next you will teach AL how to respond to your comments in your absence.
i always go alone on treks, but my friends pile on me accusing me of having all the fun to myself.
Forest treks are not fun. they are scary. i don't mind taking my friends but they often get over confident. Growing up watching cartoon films, they think all the animals are friendly, sing and dance. They have absolutely no clue about the speed with which an animal can attack, how such a huge Elephant can run so fast and chase you.
i was in a boat with two friends, dense forest of karnataka, i spot a crocodile basking in the sun on a rock, eyes closed. And this idiot friend waves at the croc and says Hi. in a flash the croc nearly bit off his shoulder. Our friend is religious, he thanks Jesus Christ for saving his life.
But doesn't blame his own stupidity. i have some close ups of the fully opened jaw, i'll post them sometime.
i sincerely feel sorry for Clooney izzidee.
Are you one of those crazy ladies with wild hair who lives in a spooky house with big trees?
Alright, well maybe not in real life, but I reckon your brain lives there!
Your dream is probably easy to explain. You weren't/aren't well and are trying to get out of it/through it. I hope by now you've reached the microwave, dear Isabella and George Clooney has changed his mind. The idiot...
Hope the aligator didn't eat the turtle.
Poor turtle...but the show must go on...
Isabella, what a great photo! I hope that the turtle won! Hope you're feeling a lot better.

That is a big turtle and the gator isn't that big. I can imagine the turtle might lose the battle but still not get eaten.
... and you let the answer open! Another quiz? I guess you stayed to see the happy or unhappy end - from alligators's point of view; I understand from your dreams that you must rather be a friend of turtles than alligators.
George C reminds me that I have to fill up my Nespresso stocks. (Do you also have the George C/Nespresso "What else" commercials in the States?)
mmmmmm, I like turtle. Lets have dinner!
Je croyais que les drogues étaient interdites ;o)). Malheureusement je pense que l'alligator va gagner et il va falloir re-écrire la fable de Lafontaine ;o)
I thought that drugs were prohibited ;o)). Unfortunately I think the alligator will win and we will have to re-write the fable of Lafontaine ;o)
Great photo, but a horrible situation for the turtle.
Hope you're feeling better. Sorry about George. He's usually a pretty stand-up guy!
I hope, you are getting well soon, both a turtle and a gator are well too :)
George is always well, I have been thinking, but now I got my suspicions!
Dont take more LSD!
Get Weel :)
How nice to come back & Al is in the photo! If the turtle managed to tuck that leg into his shell, he might have made it. If not....
George (like most show-biz people is insecure), you can win him over easily.
The ladder dream is much more complex, and after reading it, I threw my crutches away.
I sure hope that gator was a gracious loser!!
I think the turtle might be a bit too crunchy for dear old Al!
And I can't think what could have come over our George, he obviously can't recognise a good proposition when he sees one. Such is life.
Great photo!!!!
Great shot! But c'mon, Isabella, you can do better than CLOONEY! :)
Don't tell me, your alarm clock woke you up before the end of the George Clooney dream, right?
I like the gator and snapping turtle.
If you dreamed of me I promise I'd feel worthy of you :-)
