This is exactly how I feel today...well, maybe not so chipper ;-)
Let me explain. For the past 2 weeks we were hosting our good friends from Germany. We knew that they were both athletic and adventurous, but they totally wore us out!!! For the next few days I will show you just some of the things we did on their vacation!
(BTW - this was their first visit to the States and with the euro at an all-time high, they were...well, like kids in a candy store! Our food, gas and clothing seemed ridiculously inexpensive to them!)

When we lived in Las Vegas, we used to joke that we were going to put a Holiday Inn sign in our yard. ;-) I can understand how you feel!
Oh, the dollar. . . I won't start, but suffice to say that when we went to Europe last fall, we didn't feel quite like your friends!

When I was in Italy, it was the other way around - the dollar was king. Tourists were buying up all of the Gucci handbags that they could slide onto their outstretched arms.
What a sweet young thing. She brings a smile to my face. I think I'm getting more and more like her every day!

Germans for the first time in the States, and they landed in Naples with all those Diners and Master Cards (neither AMEX nor VISA, of course) with the euro at 1.50... Poor Isabella! ;))
Anyhow, it's true that your gas is «environmentally» ridiculously cheap... :))

What fun. A Naples lady for a change - not a Monte Carlo one - guess she could be tho! Don't know about you, but I couldn't live with this sculpture, could you? She'd scare me to death - look at those eyes...yes I do love her in a way.

By the way, I had often thought about making an attempt at creating dolls like this. It must be such fun to give them a characteristic face, not to mention dressing them.
This entry brought up some broad smile I had lost. I did one way back when when the panty hose art was popular where I live and fortunately or unfortunately, it looked exactly like our neighbor boy who is not about 50. I never got to show it to anyone.
